Weddings at blue: Ashley and Robert

Events have looked a lot different over the past year. Our team has constantly adapted in the face of the pandemic, working with couples on everything from rescheduling their dream dates to adjusting their guest list. For Ashley and Robert, it meant switching venues entirely; a change that was daunting at first, but ended up being the perfect fit for their intimate celebration! Here more from the bride herself about working with our event center team:

What was your favorite part of planning your wedding?

Our favorite part about planning our wedding was working with Kaitlyn. Planning a wedding during COVID was difficult and stressful enough, but Kaitlyn made everything so easy and enjoyable! We had already booked a venue and had to cancel. We were determined to have our wedding and Kaitlyn made it possible. We nervous about starting all over, but she made it all worth it! 

Why did you choose blue as your wedding venue?

We had no idea blue did weddings until we called and asked. blue is absolutely stunning, and so very elegant and you get that feeling as soon as you walk through the doors. As soon as we walked into Kaitlyn’s office and saw all the wedding decor and centerpieces, we knew they meant business and knew exactly what they were doing. When Kaitlin showed us the book of previous weddings, we knew it was the right place for us and fit the theme and feeling we were going for! When we saw the ballroom it was gorgeous, and so elegant! To top it all off the food was outstanding! 

What did your guests say they enjoyed most about your wedding?

Our guests loved the food we didn’t have one complaint! They said the portions were huge and they couldn’t believe how many courses we had! So many said it was the best wedding they had been to. 

What is your favorite memory looking back on your wedding day?

Our favorite memory of our wedding day was our entrance into the ballroom. We had waited all day and didn’t even peak during cocktail hour to see what the room looked like. We had a vision of how we wanted it to look and Kaitlyn did not disappoint! Kaitlyn set everything to absolute perfection and took so much time and effort into making our vision come true.  

The room looked absolutely stunning, the team at blue made it look better than we could have ever imagined! Walking in for our entrance seeing it in one big reveal will be our favorite memory.
