Who to invite to your Bachelor(ette) party?
Now that you’ve tackled the bridal shower invite list, it’s time to plan your bachelor and bachelorette parties. Before you plan the when and where of your “last single hurrah,” talk with your bridal party to set expectations. Deciding these factors before you choose the details will help bachelor and bachelorette party planning be a breeze!
First, determine your (or someone else’s) budget. An overnight hotel stay can take up less of the bachelorette budget with an intimate group of close friends than it would with your entire college tennis team. Especially if your maids or men are footing the bill, you want to let cost help determine where your bash is hosted and how many people make the guest list.
Create a “Must List”. Ask yourself, who do you absolutely want to be there for your bachelor party? It’s likely all of your groomsmen, plus any close friends or family who you can’t imagine the party without. These will be the people that your best man (or whoever is planning the party) will work closest with and make sure they can be there.
Check dates with the Must-List. Before you choose the destination, you need to make sure that everyone on your “must” list can save the date. Plan as far in advance as possible to make sure you can get a weekend booked on everyone’s calendars. The bigger the Must List, the tougher it will be to find a time that works for everyone, so keep that in mind when making your list!
Create a “Maybe List”. You absolutely love all your roommates from college, but you all live in different places now, and it could be tough for them to make the trip for your party. Friends like these make the “Maybe List”; you’d love them to be there, but understand if they can’t make it. They’ll receive the date and the agenda, and let your Maid of Honor (or whoever is planning the party) know if they can join the celebration.
